Dashboard Metrics Glossary

This page defines every metric shown on the BayWise Scheduler dashboard. Use it as a quick reference when a number needs clarification.

→ For guidance on how to act on these metrics, see Understanding the Dashboard.

Metric cards

The dashboard displays four metric cards. Each is described below.

Revenue Efficiency

This card contains the following metrics:

Revenue per Bay Definition: Total revenue generated divided by the number of active bays, for the selected date. Scope: Only bays that are in active status (not in maintenance) are included in the denominator.

Utilisation % Definition: The ratio of productive working time to total attendance time across all technicians. Formula: (Total productive step-hours) / (Total clocked-in hours) x 100 Note: This is a productivity/attendance ratio. It measures how much of the time technicians were present was spent on active job work.

Idle Capacity Definition: Estimated revenue lost from bays that were available but had no active job assigned during operating hours. Formula: (Unoccupied bay-hours) x (Average revenue per bay-hour for the location)

Bay Idle Warnings Definition: Flags raised when a specific bay has been idle (no active job) for longer than the configurable idle threshold.

Tech Workload Imbalance Flags Definition: Flags raised when the distribution of active jobs across clocked-in technicians is significantly uneven — for example, one technician has three or more active jobs while another has none.

Promise Health

On Track Definition: Number of jobs where the estimated remaining work time fits within the time available before the promised delivery deadline.

At Risk Definition: Number of jobs where the estimated remaining work exceeds the time available before the promise deadline.

Breached Definition: Number of jobs that have passed their promised deadline without being delivered, or where the original promise time was modified after commitment.

Urgent Actions Definition: A list of overdue jobs surfaced as actionable items requiring immediate controller attention.

Day Projection / Day Actuals / Scheduled Work

This card changes based on the selected date:

Day Projection (today) Definition: Shows two figures — Current Pace (revenue trajectory based on work completed so far today) and Potential (total revenue if all remaining scheduled work is completed on time).

Day Actuals (past date) Definition: Final figures for a completed day — steps completed, hours billed, and actual revenue recorded.

Scheduled Work (future date) Definition: Total committed pending jobs — the count and estimated value of work already booked and assigned for that future date.

Recommendations

Definition: AI-driven operational suggestions displayed in real time. Up to three recommendations are shown at any time, each with an impact score indicating the estimated benefit. Recommendation types: Bay assignment suggestions, technician workload balancing, promise deadline actions (e.g., proactive customer notification). Note: Recommendations update as the day progresses and job statuses change.

Technician status board

The technician status board (right panel on the dashboard) shows each technician’s real-time status:

StatusDefinition
WorkingClocked in; currently assigned to an active In Progress step
On BreakWithin a scheduled break window
Next JobClocked in; not currently active on a step but has a job assigned later today
Day OffNot scheduled to work today (no shift assigned or day marked as off)
