Repair Preset Types Reference

BayWise Scheduler includes three built-in repair presets. Each preset is a pre-built sequence of job steps designed for a specific type of repair. You apply a preset when creating a multi-step job, then customise the steps for the specific vehicle.

Body Minor — Dent & Paint (4 steps)

For minor panel damage repairs that do not require structural work. Suitable for dents, minor panel damage, and paint correction.

Typical vehicle: A car with minor door dings, a small dent, or localised paint damage.

Body Major — Collision Repair (10 steps)

For significant collision damage requiring structural assessment, parts ordering, and full repaint. Suitable for front or rear impact damage, side collisions.

Typical vehicle: A vehicle involved in a road accident with visible structural and panel damage.

Total default duration: ~17 hours (typically 2-4 working days)

Note on Step 8 (ADAS Calibration): Only required if the vehicle has Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (cameras, radar, sensors) that were disturbed by the repair. Skip this step for vehicles without ADAS.


Mechanical Major (6 steps)

For significant mechanical work spanning diagnosis, parts, repair, and quality checking. Suitable for engine work, gearbox repairs, suspension rebuilds, and other major mechanical jobs.

Typical vehicle: A vehicle with a significant mechanical fault that cannot be resolved in a single session.

Creating custom presets

These three are starting points. You can:

  • Customise steps when applying a preset to any specific job
  • Create your own presets in Settings, then Catalog, then Repair Presets

Your custom presets will appear alongside these built-in ones when creating a multi-step job.
