Ask BayWise Intelligence
BayWise Intelligence answers questions about your floor in plain language. It reads the live board — what is running, what is at risk, what changed — and answers from that.
Who can do this: Service Advisors, Workshop Controllers, Location Managers, Org Admins and Account Owners. Requires a plan that includes AI-assisted features.
Opening it
The assistant opens as a drawer from the board. It has two tabs: Questions and Saved.
Asking
Pick a suggested question, or type your own
Suggestions are grouped into four categories:
| Category | Questions like |
|---|---|
| Risk & Promises | Which bays are at risk right now? · Which promises have already been breached? · What should I do next? |
| What Changed | What changed on the last update? · Which cars are arriving soon? |
| Capacity | How many bays are free? · Which bays free up soonest? |
| Flow & Blockers | What’s blocked or waiting on parts? · Which jobs are in rework? · Which technicians are busiest? |
Read the answer
The assistant works from the current board — the same countdowns, promises and change feed you are looking at.
Save anything you will ask again
Save keeps a question on the Saved tab. Most controllers end up with three or four they ask every morning.
What it is good at
Reading a big floor quickly. “Which bays are at risk right now?” across twenty-two bays is faster asked than scanned.
The morning summary. “What should I do next?” first thing gives you the shape of the day before you start working the action centre.
Catching up. “What changed on the last update?” after an hour on the floor.
Cross-cutting questions. “Which technicians are busiest?” is a question the board answers only if you go and count.
What it is not
The assistant answers questions. It does not take actions — it will not reassign a job, pause work, or hand a vehicle over. Everything it tells you about is acted on from the board.
It also answers about your current floor, not about history or trends. For “how did we do last month”, use analytics.
Getting good answers
- Ask about the floor, not about the product. “Which bays free up soonest?” works. “How do I add a bay?” is a documentation question.
- Be specific about time. “Right now” and “today” give sharper answers than an unanchored question.
- Name the zone if you only care about one. “Which body bays are at risk?” narrows it usefully.
- Check anything surprising against the board. The board is the source of truth; the assistant is a faster way to read it.
Common questions
Where does it get its information? From the live board — the same data you see on the cards and in the action centre.
Can technicians use it? Not by default. It is a controller and manager tool.
Why is it unavailable? Either your plan does not include AI-assisted features, or the board has not loaded live data yet — the assistant is deliberately switched off rather than answering from sample data.
Does it see customer details? It answers about the floor you are already looking at, within what your role can see.
It gave me an answer I disagree with. Check the board. If the board and the answer disagree, trust the board and report it.
