Track Payment Link Conversion
The Payment Link Funnel panel on the Dashboard’s Finance tab shows how effectively your payment links convert from sent to paid. It tracks four stages, highlights drop-off points, and uses verdict-coloured thresholds so you can spot problems at a glance.
Who can do this: Finance Managers, CFOs, and Account Owners.
The funnel stages
The funnel tracks payment links through four sequential stages:
| Stage | What it counts | Healthy threshold |
|---|---|---|
| Sent | Total payment links sent to customers | Baseline (100%) |
| Viewed | Links the customer opened | 80%+ of Sent = GOOD |
| Partial | Links where at least a partial payment was made | 50%+ of Sent = GOOD |
| Paid | Links fully paid | 70%+ of Sent = GOOD |
Each stage shows the count and the percentage relative to Sent. Colours follow the verdict system: green for GOOD, amber for WATCH, red for CRITICAL.
Read the funnel
Navigate to the Finance tab
Open the Dashboard and select the Finance & Receivables tab.
Locate the Payment Link Funnel
The funnel panel appears among the Finance tab panels. If no payment links have been sent, the panel shows an empty state message.
Read the conversion rates
Each stage card shows the count and percentage. Arrow separators between stages indicate flow direction. Read left to right: Sent -> Viewed -> Partial -> Paid.
Check the drop-off alert
Below the funnel, a drop-off alert highlights the biggest gap between consecutive stages. For example, if 80% of links were viewed but only 30% were partially paid, the alert calls out the Viewed-to-Partial drop as the primary conversion problem.
A large drop between Sent and Viewed may indicate delivery issues — customers may not be receiving or opening your links. A large drop between Viewed and Partial suggests the payment page itself may have friction (unclear amounts, missing payment methods, or customer hesitation). Each gap points to a different operational action.
Common questions
What period does the funnel cover? The funnel reflects the period selected in the AsOfMonthPicker. For the current month, it shows live data.
Are partially paid links counted in the Paid stage? No. A link must be fully paid to appear in the Paid stage. Partial payments appear only in the Partial stage.
Can I drill down into individual links? The funnel panel shows aggregate counts. To see individual payment links, navigate to the Collection Queue where payment link status is shown per entity.
