BayWise LensChangelogv0 — Early Access

v0 — Early Access

Released: June 2026 · Status: Consultant pre-release

BayWise Lens v0 is the first release, designed to put a complete audit instrument in front of fixed-ops consultants. The goal at this stage is a tangible, end-to-end experience that feels real — from intake to findings to signed report — so that consultant feedback is about the substance of the audit, not about it being a mockup.

What’s included in v0

Engagements

  • Create an engagement for any dealership — new or existing in your workspace
  • Choose Short form (rapid health-check, ~7 sections) or Long form (full audit, all sections)
  • Engagement statuses: Intake → Analysis → Review → Signed → Monitoring
  • Pre-loaded sample engagement to explore a complete, populated audit end-to-end

Engagement Profile

  • Describe the dealership and the presenting problem in your own words
  • BayLens parses the narrative into structured key indicators (bays, technicians, monthly RO volume, powertrain mix, and more)
  • Indicators marked hard (directly stated) or estimate (inferred from context)
  • Editable indicators — add or adjust any value
  • Flags for useful-but-missing data that would sharpen the analysis

The Canvas

  • Three-column working surface: Section Rail (left), Section Workspace (centre), Feedback Rail (right)
  • Section Rail shows all audit sections in order, with live numbering that updates when sections are removed
  • Total Opportunity in the rail footer — the live sum of dealer-addressable findings, de-duplicated to avoid double-counting

Sections and findings

  • Upload files into any section — drag and drop, or use the upload button; section-specific hints show what’s most useful here
  • Add notes to any section; BayLens synthesizes a structured summary (paragraph + bullets)
  • Finding cards with: annual money impact, current vs target metric, cause, confidence level, and addressability
  • How BayLens got here — collapsible reasoning chain, readable step by step, ending at the root cause
  • Recommended actions — 30/60/90-day actions, each with a target outcome; fully editable; add your own actions
  • Gap cards when a section lacks enough data — shows exactly which inputs would unlock the finding
  • Remove sections from the report with ×; restore with ; remaining sections renumber live
  • Undo toast after removing a section

Feedback and comments

  • Select any text on the Canvas to attach a comment
  • Comments collect in the Feedback Rail — open count visible at a glance
  • Resolve a comment and BayLens applies the change back into the document, traceable to the comment
  • Resolved comments hidden by default; reveal with Show resolved (N)
  • Jump to any comment’s location in the Canvas from the Feedback Rail

Report and sign-off

  • View report assembles the full document at any time during the engagement
  • Working view — shows reasoning chains, evidence, causes; for the consultant’s use
  • Principal view — clean summary for the Dealer Principal; hides internal reasoning
  • Print draft available at any time with a DRAFT watermark
  • PDF download gated until sign-off
  • Sign off finalizes the report: removes the watermark, stamps name and date, and sets the baseline a future re-run will measure against
  • Optional polish pass at sign-off — proposed improvements to grammar and clarity, accept or reject

Settings

  • Workspace settings for BayWise Lens available under Settings → Lens
  • Team capability management for Lens roles under Settings → Team

Limitations in v0

  • Single consultant per engagement — simultaneous editing by multiple consultants is not yet supported; last save wins if two people edit at the same time
  • No re-run comparison — longitudinal measurement against a signed baseline is coming in a future release. The baseline is set at sign-off and will power re-run comparisons when available
  • No dealer self-serve — consultants run all engagements. Dealer-facing access is not in this release
  • Analysis depends on the data you provide — findings require sufficient inputs. Sections with missing data show a Gap card rather than a finding; add the listed inputs to unlock the analysis
  • Re-run reminders — automated reminders when a dealership is due for a re-run are not yet active
